Snapchat QR Code Generator
A Snapchat QR code opens your profile so someone can add you without typing a username. The reason to use one rather than a Snapcode is reach: a standard QR code scans from the normal camera app, so it works for people who do not have Snapchat open.

When to use a snapchat QR code
- Event stands, pop-ups and festivals
- Posters and flyers aimed at a younger audience
- Merch, stickers and packaging inserts
- Business cards for creators and influencers
Before you print
This is not the same as a Snapcode
Snapcodes — the yellow ghost with dots — only scan from inside Snapchat. Someone has to already have the app open and know to use it. A standard QR code works from any camera, which is why it belongs on anything printed for a general audience.
Check your username character by character
Snapchat usernames cannot be changed freely, and one wrong letter sends everyone to a stranger. Scan your own code before it goes to print.
Say what people get
A bare code gets ignored. A line like "Snap us for daily offers" gets scanned. The words next to the code do more work than the code.
Common questions
Why not just use my Snapcode?
Snapcodes need the Snapchat camera. A standard QR code opens from any phone's normal camera, so it reaches people who have not installed Snapchat or do not have it open — which on a public poster is most people.
Does the person need Snapchat to scan it?
No. Scanning works from any camera and opens your profile in a browser. They need the app to actually add you, and the page prompts them to install it.
Can I make a QR code for a Snapchat group?
Yes, if you have a shareable group link. Paste it the same way as a profile URL.
