Spotify QR Code Generator
A Spotify QR code opens whatever you link: a single track, an album, a playlist you keep updated, or your artist page. Anyone can scan it with their normal phone camera, which is the practical difference from Spotify's own scannable codes.
Track, album, artist, or playlist.

When to use a spotify QR code
- Gig posters and flyers, linking to the artist page so people can listen before they buy a ticket
- Merch, vinyl sleeves and CD inserts, where a code fits somewhere a long URL never would
- Cafés, bars and shops sharing the playlist currently playing
- Wedding and party invitations pointing at the event playlist
- Business cards for musicians, producers and DJs
- Restaurant tables and hotel rooms, where a curated playlist is part of the atmosphere
Before you print
Link a playlist, not a single track
A playlist link keeps working as you add and remove songs, so a code printed today is still useful in two years. A track link is frozen the moment you print it — fine for a specific release, wrong for anything that should stay current.
Copy the share link, not the address bar
Use Spotify's Share option and choose Copy link. The URL in your browser's address bar sometimes carries session information that only works for your account, so the code opens nothing for anyone else.
Test it logged out before printing
Open the code in a private browser window. A playlist set to private looks fine to you and shows nothing to everybody else, and that is not something you want to discover after a print run.
Keep it large enough on merch
Codes on fabric and curved surfaces scan worse than on flat paper. Print at least 3cm across on a t-shirt or tote, and put it somewhere that stays flat.
Common questions
How is this different from a Spotify Code?
Spotify Codes — the little barcode with the wavy lines — only scan inside the Spotify app. This makes a standard QR code, so any phone camera opens it. That matters for reaching people who do not have Spotify open, or do not use it yet.
Can I make a QR code for a Spotify playlist?
Yes. Open the playlist, choose Share, then Copy link, and paste that. A playlist code is usually the better choice for anything printed, since the contents can change without the code changing.
Does it work for albums and artist pages too?
Yes. Any Spotify share link works the same way — a track, an album, an artist, a playlist, or a podcast episode. The code just opens whatever address you gave it.
Do people need a Spotify account to listen?
They can play some content free with ads. Full playback normally needs an account, free or paid. The code opens the page either way, so nobody hits a dead end.
Can I change the song after printing the code?
Not with a static code, because the link is inside the pattern. Point a dynamic code at your Spotify link instead and you can change where it goes at any time without reprinting.
